The police launched an investigation after the bodies of an oil tanker driver and his helper were found inside the vehicle's storage tank in district, Kot Addu, the police said on Thursday.The bodies were discovered in the Town, Gujrat in Kot Addu after the tanker owners lost contact with the two men and went to check on the vehicle, the police added.

They said the driver and helper had transported a shipment of oil from Karachi three days earlier. After unloading the cargo, they parked the tanker outside a hotel, where it remained stationary.The Rescue 1122 team recovered the bodies from the tank and transferred them to a hospital for legal formalities. The police said the cause of death has not yet been determined.
