26 police mobiles among 65 govt vehicles e-challaned in KarachiBreaking

After citizens, vehicles of government institutions have also been caught on camera violating the traffic laws in Karachi as the traffic police issued challans to 65 government vehicles in 24 hours, including 26 police mobiles. According to traffic police officials, challans were issued for driving without tightening seatbelts and overspeeding. All vehicles were issued tickets at a minimum of Rs15,000 each. As many as 184 heavy traffic challans were also issued at various locations. 

The heavy vehicles challaned include 104 water tankers and 25 dumpers, four oil tankers and 22 trucks.  The law is the same for everyone, no recommendation will work, Traffic Police officials said. They said the camera does not see whether the vehicle is government or private, Traffic Police officials said the DIG Traffic's vehicle was also challaned the other day. Whether it is government or private, obey the laws, Traffic Police officials said.
