A massive fire broke out in Lunda Bazaar of Pattoki, reducing about 26 shops to ashes.Bales of shoes, second-hand clothes and other goods were also burnt in the fire. Soon after receiving the report, a Rescue 1122 team, along with an ambulance and six vehicles, reached the spot and brought the fire under control.Rescue officials said the fire erupted due to an electrical short-circuit. The officials further said that after extinguishing the fire cooling process was under way.
Earlier in March 2026, a massive fire broke out in a trailer that was loaded with cotton bales in Pattoki.Due to a fire, all the cotton bales worth millions of rupees were destroyed. The cause of the fire is still unknown. Soon after receiving the report, two Rescue 1122 fire vehicles rushed to the spot, began operations, and brought the fire under control. Later, the Rescue 1122 teams started the cooling process. No loss of life was reported from the site so far.
