3,750 tons of animal waste disposed of during Eidul Azha Breaking

The Water and Sanitation Services Company (WSSC) Dera Ismail Khan successfully carried out a sanitation campaign during Eidul Azha, disposing of 3,750 tons of waste. People have widely appreciated the outstanding cleanliness arrangements and praised CEO Dr. Mohsin Habib and the entire WSSC team for their commendable services during Eid-ul-Adha 2025.

According to the spokesman, the drive was conducted under the leadership of Chief Executive Officer Dr. Mohsin Habib across eight union councils of the city.  Giving details, he said a total of 3,750 tons of animal waste was collected from over 1,000 collection points and disposed of in an environmentally safe manner at designated dumping sites. 

He said the operation involved 54 government and 21 private vehicles, including tractor trolleys, mini pickups, tractor buckets, excavators, and dumper trucks. Biodegradable bags were distributed among the public for waste collection, and after waste removal, lime was spread, streets were washed using water bowsers, and disinfectant sprays were carried out at collection points and public areas. 

Field operations were supervised by the Manager Operations and Assistant Manager Wastewater, while water supply and fleet management were handled by relevant officers. Similarly, a dedicated monitoring team, formed under the guidance of CEO Dr. Mohsin Habib, conducted field visits to ensure effective oversight of the campaign. 

He added that complaint cells were established in each union council, and a three-day control room remained active at the head office to promptly address public complaints. He said departments such as admin, accounts, engineering wing, sanitary Inspectors, and field staff, along with private labor, contributed enthusiastically to the campaign, working with great dedication.
