The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) on Monday seized 400 kilos of Chinese Salt, a prohibited item, during a raid on a godown in Kabutar Gali Ganj Mandi, Rawalpindi and later disposed it of. The value of the salt was Rs640,000 and it had been concealed in sacks of rice. Later, an FIR was registered against the owner of the godown for keeping the prohibited item. It is pertinent to mention here that there is a ban on the sale and purchase of the salt across the province.
