The death toll due to floods in Punjab has reached 97 while the number of affectees has topped 4.5 million.According to Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab, 4.5 million people have been affected by floods across the province and more than 4,500 villages have been affected by floods.

According to Relief Commissioner Punjab Nabeel Javed, 2.451 million people trapped in floods have been shifted to safe places as 396 relief camps have been established in flood-affected districts.  He added that due to the rains, Tarbela Dam is 100 percent full while Mangla Dam is 92 percent full.
