Former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has strongly criticized the court's decision regarding the 190 million pound case involving  Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, calling it a political move.   Abbasi expressed his dismay, stating, "To my knowledge, no political case has ever been decided on merit in this country. The law has become a joke," adding  that the case's outcome was expected to be politically motivated.   He pointed out the difficulties the government would face if negotiations with the opposition were to succeed, as the court's decision could not be  overturned.

He remarked that PTI would now have to return to court for a resolution, as the government no longer has the details of the decision.  In response to the verdict, Imran Khan, the former Prime Minister and leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), addressed his supporters, urging them not to panic.   He vowed to continue his fight against what he called "dictatorship," stressing that he would not compromise on his principles or the cause of true freedom  for the nation.   

Khan strongly criticized the judicial system, accusing it of further damaging its reputation with what he termed a "black decision" in the Al-Qadir Trust  case. He accused certain judges of bias, claiming they were appointed to deliver verdicts against him.   Khan also pointed to other political figures, questioning the legality of their actions, including Nawaz Sharif and his family, and criticized the government  for allegedly forgiving billions in money laundering cases. 

 He argued that the Al-Qadir Trust, like his other welfare projects, was a nonprofit institution aimed at serving the public, particularly in educating  students about the Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH). Khan claimed that neither he nor his wife had benefited from the trust, and that the land taken back by the  government would harm the poor students who had been studying there.
