Abbottabad Police recover large quantity of weapons, ammunition Breaking

Abbottabad Police recovered a large quantity of weapons and ammunition, while also tightening security and expanding the crackdown against drug peddlers across the district.  According to police, DSP Mirpur Shaheen Khan and SHO Mangal Ahsan Shakoor inspected security arrangements at the CPEC route, rest areas, foreign residential zones, and adjoining localities. During the visit, they reviewed patrolling systems, checkpoints, and the performance of personnel deployed at key security points. 

DSP Shaheen Khan directed officers to maintain strict vigilance on suspicious activities and ensure foolproof security arrangements. Blockades were also established at public entry and exit points, while SHO Mangal issued further instructions to enhance patrolling effectiveness.  Acting on the special directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Abbottabad Haroon Rashid Khan, SHO Cantonment Zubair Khan intercepted a suspicious van during patrolling. 

Upon search, police recovered a large cache of weapons from the suspect, identified as Mudassir, son of Yaseen, resident of Peshawar. The recovered arms included seven 30-bore pistols, two 9mm pistols, and 6,000 rounds of ammunition. A case under the Arms Prohibition Act was registered, and the accused was taken into custody.  Meanwhile, under the supervision of DSP Cantt Circle Tahir Saleem, SHO Sherwan Ayaz Khan arrested a drug dealer, Fazal Rehman, son of Ghulam Rabbani, resident of Thathi Ahmad Khan, and recovered 1,395 grams of hashish from his possession.

A case was registered under the Narcotics Prohibition Act.  In another action, SHO City Inspector Cadet Muhammad Nawaz continued the crackdown against narcotics dealers, arresting two suspects Sabeel ur Rehman, son of Asal Jan, resident of Kunj Jadeed, and Abdul Latif, son of Abdul Hameed, resident of Jabriyan and recovering 30 liters of liquor from their possession. Both were booked under the Narcotics Prohibition Act.
