Two police personnel, including Assistant Commissioner Shah Wali, were martyred on Tuesday when suspected assailants attacked the Miranshah AC’s convoy in the Mamashkhel area, officials confirmed.At least two others were injured in the assault, which targeted the official vehicle as it travelled through the remote region.According to police, unidentified suspects opened fire on the convoy, resulting in the martyrdom of AC Shah Wali and a police officer accompanying him.

The attackers then set the official vehicle on fire before fleeing the scene.The sudden nature of the attack caused immediate panic in the area, with locals reporting hearing multiple gunshots.A heavy contingent of police rushed to the scene shortly after the attack. Law enforcement personnel have cordoned off the area and initiated a search operation to trace the suspects.Police officials said the injured have been shifted to a nearby medical facility, and further investigations are underway.
