Former Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and senior PPP leader Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan has categorically denied all statements circulating on social media attributing controversial remarks against the PTI founder, declaring them as "completely fake and fabricated."In an official statement issued by his spokesperson Sardar Mishal Younis, it was clarified that certain AI-generated videos and doctored statements being spread online were entirely baseless. “Sardar Tanveer Ilyas has not made any statement against any political party or leadership, including Imran Khan,” the spokesperson emphasised.
The clarification comes in response to viral social media posts falsely quoting Tanveer Ilyas claiming to have "secrets about Imran Khan" that could damage his public image. These posts have now been denounced as fake, allegedly created using artificial intelligence tools. The spokesperson added that Sardar Tanveer Ilyas officially joined the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) on June 24, 2025, and fully endorsed the party’s constitution, policy, and values.
He reiterated Tanveer Ilyas’s commitment to democratic principles, political tolerance, and ethics, rejecting all allegations as unfounded and fabricated. The public has been urged by the spokesperson to refrain from sharing false content and to verify facts before spreading misinformation.The spokesperson also confirmed that legal teams have been activated and solid evidence has been handed over to the Cyber Crime Department for immediate action against the perpetrators of the propaganda campaign.
