Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Tuesday visited the Diplomatic Enclave to review ongoing development work and assess progress on key infrastructure projects. During the visit, the minister inspected construction activities and directed officials to speed up work while ensuring environmental protection and improved facilities for residents. The minister reviewed progress on the boundary wall, remodeling of security checkpoints, cycling track, and walking track being developed inside the Diplomatic Enclave.

He stressed that construction on the boundary wall should continue without interruption and instructed authorities to ensure that no trees are cut during the execution of the projects. Mohsin Naqvi also directed officials to develop the cycling and walking tracks according to modern planning standards to provide better recreational facilities within the enclave. He further instructed the concerned departments to widen roads in the area to improve traffic flow and accessibility.

During the visit, the interior minister asked the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Security to prepare a revised and comprehensive security plan for the Diplomatic Enclave. He said the enclave should have a security framework that meets current requirements while supporting the needs of diplomatic missions and residents. The minister announced that parks within the Diplomatic Enclave would also be restored and upgraded. He said the government aims to transform the enclave into a secure and well-managed diplomatic zone with improved public spaces and infrastructure. 

Mohsin Naqvi directed officials to provide residents of the Diplomatic Enclave with facilities that meet international standards. During the briefing, the Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) informed the minister about the progress of ongoing development projects and future plans for the enclave. Officials shared details regarding construction timelines and implementation measures. Deputy Commissioner Islamabad and other senior officers were also present during the visit and reviewed the progress of the projects alongside the interior minister.
