AJK govt issues travel advisory ahead of June 9 protest Breaking

The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government has issued a travel advisory for tourists and the general public in view of a protest scheduled for June 9. According to media reports, the government has advised tourists from across the country to avoid traveling to Azad Kashmir between June 5 and June 20 in order to prevent any inconvenience or unpleasant situations. 

The advisory states that protest activities may cause traffic disruptions on major highways and entry and exit routes, which could create difficulties for tourists and other travelers. The government emphasized that this precautionary measure has been taken to ensure the safety and convenience of the public. 

In addition, the Azad Kashmir government has requested individuals currently in the region for tourism, business, or other purposes to leave the area by the evening of June 5. Officials said that the purpose of this advisory is to protect citizens and visitors from potential travel disruptions and related difficulties. The government has urged the public to avoid unnecessary travel during this period and to follow the instructions issued by the relevant authorities.
