Supreme Court has granted bail to the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in eight cases related to the events of May 9.Following the decision, PTI issued a statement welcoming the verdict, calling it a major victory for the party and its founder. A PTI spokesperson said the ruling proves that all the cases filed against him were false, baseless, and driven by political vendetta.
The spokesperson added that it is a bitter reality that more than 200 fabricated cases have been registered against the PTI founder, who has been kept in jail for the past two years, away from his nation. The statement further questioned who would provide justice and redress for this prolonged injustice.
