All government and private educational institutions in Sindh reopened on Saturday after summer vacations. As the new education session started, 75 percent of private schools in Sindh will reopen from August 3, 2026 (Monday). Some private institutions remained functional with limited staff and administrative measures.

Department of Education Sindh has already issued an explanation about the working days of private educational institutions. School administration completed all the necessary arrangements with the start of new education session. On July 31, 2026, the Sindh government announced that all public and private educational institutions in the province would operate six days a week after reopening on August 1 following the end of summer vacations.

“It is hereby notified that all public and private educational institutions under the administrative control of the School Education & Literacy Department, Government of Sindh, shall observe a six-day working week (Monday to Saturday) with effect from August 1, 2026, till further orders,” said a notification issued by the Sindh School Education and Literacy Department dated July 29, 2026.
