ANF arrests 7 smugglers with over 198kg of drugsBreaking

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), conducting eight operations across the country, recovered as many as 198.711 kilograms of drugs worth more than Rs 16.3 million and arrested seven suspects, said an ANF Headquarters spokesman on Monday. He informed that 2.670 kg of Narcotics hidden in books were recovered from a parcel sent to Qatar from a courier office in Aabpara, Islamabad. As much as 34 grams of weed were recovered from a parcel sent to the UK from a mail office in Chaklala Garrison, Rawalpindi. 

In another operation,6 kg of hashish was recovered from a vehicle near a shopping mall on Peshawar Ring Road, and three suspects were arrested. Similarly,132 kg of hashish was recovered from a rickshaw in Surjani Town, Karachi, and two suspects were arrested. As many as 6 kg of hashish, 2.4 kg of opium, 2.546 kg of ice and 0.231 kg of heroin were recovered from a motorcyclist in Faisalabad. 

During other operations,24 kg of hashish was recovered from a vehicle near Kamalpur Interchange, Faisalabad, and the accused was arrested. 1.5 kg of ice recovered from a hotel near Torkham Zero Line border, while 24 kilograms of hashish hidden for smuggling were recovered in Panjgur Bonistan. Cases have been registered against the arrested suspects under the Narcotics Control Act, and further investigations are underway.
