The Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) seized about 79.9 kilogram drugs valuing over Rs180 million and arrested five drug peddlers in countrywide actions. Spokesman of ANF said on Tuesday that an accused was arrested with 1.2 kg hashish near a private university in Rawalpindi. Another motorcycle riding drug peddler was apprehended with 20 kg hashish near a high level educational institution in Quetta. The spokesman said that an Afghan national was detained with 8 kg intoxicate powder during an operation at Torkham near Pak-Afghan border. A vehicle was impounded and two drug peddlers held after recovered of 10.7 kg heroin. During an operation in unpopulated area of Loralai, over 30 kg heroin hidden for smuggling was recovered. Separate cases against the detainees were registered under Drug Act and further investigations were underway.
