Army evacuates 150,000 people from flood-affected areasBreaking

Relief operations by the Pakistan Army on Saturday continued in flood-affected areas of Jhang, Faisalabad, and Toka Tek Sindh in coordination with civil administration.Contingents of the Pakistan Army have evacuated 100,000 to 150,000 people from floodwaters and shifted them to safer locations with the help of helicopters and boats.

About 14,050 out of 15,800 people, including women, children, and senior citizens who were stranded in flood-affected areas, were rescued successfully. Five relief camps, eighteen medical camps, and six rescue camps were established in Tandilianwala.Pakistan Army, in collaboration with the Rescue 1122 teams, continued flood relief operations in Toka Tek Singh, where free medicines were being distributed among flood victims, while first aid was also being provided to them.

Pakistan Army is continuing relief efforts for the flood-affected people.Pakistan Army also evacuating people trapped in the floodwaters of River Sutlej and Head Sulemanki to safe locations.Currently 90,000 feet cusecs of floodwater is passing through Burewala which also gripped the adjacent areas. The connection between Basti Jan Mohammad was also suspended.

So far, thousands of people along with their livestock have been shifted to safe places from several villages.Arrangements have also been made to provide essential medical assistance to the affected people. People lauded the tireless efforts of the Pakistan Army to rescue people from flood-affected areas.
