An Indian police officer was killed and a constable injured when they were hit by a speedy vehicle in Samba district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday.According to Kashmir Media Service, the slain officer has been identified as Assistant Sub-inspector (ASI) Yog Raj Singh.

The incident took place when ASI Yog Raj along with his team was setting up a checkpoint at Pulpur in Supwal area.As the police party tried to stop a speedy vehicle, its driver jumped the barricades and hit them, resulting in injuries to the ASI and another policeman. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital where the ASI succumbed to his injuries.
