The anti-terrorism court (ATC) has rejected the police request for the physical remand of Aleema Khan’s son Sher Shah, the accused in the Jinnah House attack case. The ATC announced the verdict on the police’s plea for an extended physical remand of the suspect. The court dismissed the request for Sher Shah’s physical remand and sent him to jail on judicial remand.
It is worth noting that the Lahore Sarwar Road Police had previously registered a case against Sher Shah in connection with the Jinnah House attack. Later, PTI leader Salman Akram Raja spoke to the media outside the ATC, stating that they would file a bail application for Sher Shah today or tomorrow.
He added that Aleema Khan had already clarified that their relationship is that of siblings, and claims of disputes are not correct. He further said that the decision not to participate in the Punjab by-elections was made by PTI’s founder. He criticised the elections as artificial, claiming they are designed to strengthen an artificial assembly.
