April 15, 2025

In a recent appearance on a private TV channel Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Aun Abbas Bappi accused the Federal government of diverting public attention from pressing national issues by focusing on PTI's internal affairs.   He highlighted the economic struggles faced by farmers, noting that wheat is being sold at Rs 2,100 per maund, while the cultivation cost per acre stands at Rs 140,000, yielding only Rs 100,000 in return.

"The government does not care about the farmer's Rs 40,000 per acre loss," Bappi stated, emphasizing the neglect of the agricultural sector. Senator Bappi also pointed out the decline in manufacturing and the closure of industries, criticizing the government's lack of attention to issues in Sindh, Punjab, and Balochistan.

He argued that the government's preoccupation with PTI's internal matters serves as a distraction from these critical problems. In response, Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry reaffirmed the government's stance against PTI's tactics. He warned that no party or group would be allowed to disrupt the governmental system, referencing past events such as the May 9 incidents.
