Federal Minister for Power Sardar Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari on Tuesday expressed profound grief over the demise of Senator Irfan Siddiqui, describing his demise as an irreparable loss to the country’s political and literary circles.In his condolence message, the minister said Irfan Siddiqui was a dignified statesman known for his exemplary character, grace and unwavering commitment to democratic values. 

He noted that the late senator’s personality was a beautiful blend of knowledge, literature and politics, earning him immense respect across the national spectrum. Leghari said the deceased rendered remarkable services for the promotion of democracy, national cohesion and intellectual discourse in the country. 

He extended heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the bereaved family, praying that Allah Almighty grant them patience and fortitude. He also prayed for the departed soul, “May Allah grant Senator Irfan Siddiqui a highest place in His eternal mercy.”
