The Punjab Highway Patrol Police intercepted a vehicle near the Bewar checkpoint in Kahuta, preventing an attempt to smuggle two deer fawns to Azad Kashmir.Three men were detained, and the rescued animals were handed over to the Wildlife Department.The checkpoint team, including Raja Idrees Langrial and other personnel, stopped a car heading from Islamabad toward Kashmir. Upon inspection, two deer fawns were found in the vehicle. 

The passengers were unable to produce valid legal documents for their possession or transport, presenting only a few receipts. Following this, checkpoint in-charge Raja Sagheer Abbasi called the Wildlife Department officials to the scene. According to officials, the men had picked up the fawns from Gulberg Housing Society and were en route to Kashmir without justification. The suspects?identified as Talal, Shahid, and Abdul Qayyum?were taken into protective custody and fined.
