Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has lauded the federal government for imposing  agriculture and climate emergencies in the country in view of the devastating floods.  In a post uploaded on social media platform “X”, Bilawal Bhutto expressed his concern for not announcing any relief package under the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) for flood-affected areas of Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and especially for South Punjab.

The PPP Chairman said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has personally assured him that a relief package would be announced for the people of flood-affected areas under the Benazir Income Support Programme. Bilawal said “I’m unable to understand why the government is delaying in approaching the United Nations and other international organizations to support flood-affected people.”
