Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti  welcomed the United States’ decision to designate the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) and its sub-group, the Majeed Brigade, as terrorist organisations, calling it a commendable and timely step.In a message on social media platform X, the Chief Minister said that the federal government and Field Marshal Asim Munir had presented Pakistan’s stance before the US administration in a highly effective and well-reasoned manner, which led to this important decision.

He stated that the BLA and Majeed Brigade had long been shedding the blood of innocent civilians under the false guise of ethnic and linguistic rights, and their hands were stained with the blood of countless innocents.He stressed that terrorism can never be justified under any circumstances, and no cause can legitimise the killing of innocent civilians.

The Chief Minister urged the international community to unite and adopt a joint strategy to eradicate the scourge of terrorism so that the world can be freed from this dangerous menace. Mir Sarfaraz Bugti expressed hope that this decision would help promote peace and stability in Pakistan and further strengthen the ongoing fight against terrorism.
