A team of Crime Control Department (CCD) survived an attack in Attock after armed suspects opened indiscriminate firing on them on Friday. The CCD personnel retaliated and in the ensuing battle two of the four accused injured in the firing of their accomplices. The remaining two managed to escape from the scene. 

The CCD police stopped the four suspicious motorcyclists at a checkpoint near Tin Mela as part of a routine stop and search. The motorcyclists fired indiscriminately at the CCD team before fleeing. Backup arrived swiftly for the CCD team which began pursuing the assailants. Two of the suspects escaped after accidentally injuring two of their own accomplices during the exchange of fire. 

The injured accused were identified as Muhammad Noman and Muhammad Uzair, both of whom are now undergoing treatment at DHQ. The names of the fleeing suspects were Khalil Mustafa and Abdul Ghafoor, who have criminal records, were residents of Haji Shah. The injured suspects, abandoned by their accomplices, were shifted to the hospital by the authorities while the CCD teams continued the hunt for the remaining perpetrators.
