Central control room established to monitor return of Afghan refugeesBreaking

A Central Control Room has been established in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Home Department to monitor the return and arrangements of Afghan refugees. The control room will be operational 24 hours a day from October 28 to October 31, 2023, to ensure that all illegal residents, including Afghan refugees, leave the country by the deadline. According to media reports, Police, NADRA, FIA, Commissioner of Afghan Refugees, passport, and security forces officials will perform duty in the control room.

The control room will coordinate with all relevant stakeholders to ensure a smooth and orderly return process for Afghan refugees. The government of Pakistan has instructed all illegal residents, including Afghan refugees, to leave the country by October 31, 2023. The government has also announced a number of measures to facilitate the return of Afghan refugees, including providing financial assistance and transportation. The establishment of the Central Control Room is a significant step towards ensuring the safe and dignified return of Afghan refugees to their homeland.
