Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that it was wrong to bring all prisoners from their jail barracks outside due to mild earthquakes. Addressing a function in Karachi on Tuesday, Murad Ali Shah said that strict action will be taken against those officials who are involved in this incident. Murad Ali Shah said that during earthquake the prisoners were feeling unsafe in their barracks.
He said that around 80 to 82 prisoners were rearrested. He termed the jail break incident an alarming and expressed his displeasure over the incident. The Sindh Chief Minister strongly rejected that any important prisoner escaped.Sindh Home Secretary Iqbal Memon visited Malir jail and later talked with media persons. During his visit DIG Hassan Sahito also accompanied him.
