Prominent political figures, business leaders, and overseas representatives gathered in Islamabad to express their heartfelt condolences to Sardar Ilyas Khan, Chairman of The Centaurus Group, on the passing away of Dr Naveed, his son-in-law and brother-in-law of Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, Prime Minister’s Coordinator for Tourism, and Dr Rashid Ilyas.

Those extending sympathies included Sardar Mahtab Ahmad Khan Abbasi, former chief minister and Governor KP; Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq, Prime Minister of AJK, with cabinet members;  Zia-ul-Qamar, Maqbool Hussain, Sardar Zahoor Iqbal, Sardar Asif Iqbal, Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari, Shakeel Munir, Abdullah Gul, Amjid Jalil, and Lt. Gen. (R) Jamil-ur-Rehman Vance. 

Participants paid tribute to Dr. Naveed’s noble character, describing him as compassionate and accomplished, and prayed for strength for the bereaved family.  The gathering reflected unity across political, business, and social spheres, honoring the Ilyas family’s enduring legacy of leadership and service.
