District Police Officer (DPO) Syed Ali suspended the Incharge of a police post for misuse of authority here on Thursday.According to a police spokesperson, ASI Tahir Abbas violated departmental rules and regulations, with the unlawful arrest and release of a citizen, prompting immediate disciplinary action. 

The DPO emphasized that discipline, transparency, and adherence to the rule of law remain top priorities, adding that no official is above the law. A departmental inquiry has been initiated, a charge sheet has been issued, and further action will be determined based on the inquiry’s findings.
