An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Lahore on Friday declared seven Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders, including Hammad Azhar and Zubair Khan Niazi, as proclaimed offenders and issued their permanent arrest warrants in the Club Chowk and GOR attack cases.Administrative Judge of ATC Munzir Ali Gul heard the case and later issued permanent arrest warrants for Hammad Azhar, Zubair Khan Niazi, Akbar Khan, Masood Ahmad Subhani, Arsalan Bin Basharat, Farooq Anjum, and Habib Ahmad in the case.
A case bearing number 852/23 is registered against the above-mentioned accused. Some accused were already awarded sentences in this case. The trial of the proclaimed offenders of this case will be held later. The government prosecutor said that all these accused went into hiding to avoid arrest.He also argued that the court granted them time again and again to appear in the court, but the accused willfully avoided appearing in the court.
