Crackdown against illegal Hawala Hundi business continuesBreaking

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested two persons in Peshawar for operating an illegal money changer business without a license and recovered over one crore rupees from them. According to an FIA spokesperson, the accused, Habibullah and Muhammad Ajmal, were arrested in Hawala Hundi case from Haji Camp, GT Road Peshawar. During the raid, the FIA recovered one crore 62 lakh 50 thousand rupees from the accused. The accused could not satisfy the authorities regarding the recovered currency. The spokesperson said that a case has been registered against the accused and raids are being conducted to arrest other accused. The FIA has warned the public against dealing with unlicensed money changers, as they may be involved in illegal activities such as money laundering and financing terrorism.
