Crime rate in Islamabad drops to its lowest in five yearsBreaking

Another accomplishment for the Islamabad Police under the leadership of Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi as the crime rate in the federal capital has dropped to its lowest in the last five years.As per a report by NUMBEO, presently the crime index in the city is 31.37 per cent, while the safety index is 68.63 per cent. Overall crime rate in the city has been recorded at 29.1 per cent. The rate at which crimes increased between 2020 and 2024 stood at 40.14 per cent.

As many as 30 per cent incidents of burglary and vandalism in houses have been reported during the ongoing year so far, while 32 per cent incidents of robbery and mugging have been reported. Similarly, 34.89 incidents of car theft and 23.86 per cent incidents of physical violence have been reported, while people felt 81 per cent secure while travelling during the daytime.
