Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and police personnel have gunned down a terrorist during an encounter in Karak. According to details, Kohat Region CTD and District police received credible information about the presence of terrorists in Takht Nasrati. The law-enforcers rushed to the scene.

To see the police and CTD personnel, the militants opened fire on them, which was returned effectively to silence their guns. During a search and clearance operation, the security agencies found the dead body of a terrorist.A Kalashnikov, two magazines, a hand grenade, and several cartridges were recovered from the dead militant.

His accomplices managed to escape, taking advantage of the darkness. A manhunt was launched for the fleeing militants. The law-enforcers enhanced security and cordoned off the surroundings to track down the perpetrators. District administration said that the anti-terrorism operations will continue in the area.
