Deputy Commissioner(DC) Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry has called on citizens,government offices,private institutions and commercial centers to participate in Earth Hour tomorrow,March 28 from 8:30 to 9:30 pm.The DC said the initiative,following instructions from the Chief Minister(CM) Punjab aims to promote environmental protection and energy conservation by switching off unnecessary lights for one hour.

He directed relevant departments to run awareness campaigns to educate the public on the significance of Earth hour and ensure maximum participation.“Collective action is essential to address climate change.While symbolic,Earth Hour is an effective step toward fostering ECO-friendly behaviour,”he said,urging residents to turn off lights and set an example as responsible citizens.
