The deadline for implementing the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) integrated vaccination card has been extended.  According to sources in Border Health Services, the deadline for implementation of the NADRA-integrated vaccination card has been extended until September 25, 2026.  Sources said an official notification regarding the extension is expected to be issued shortly. 

Before the development, hundreds of passengers and Umrah pilgrims had gathered at airport health offices to obtain the NADRA-integrated vaccination card. The extension is expected to provide significant relief to passengers and pilgrims travelling abroad.  It may be recalled that authorities had earlier announced that, after September 14, 2026, passengers would not be allowed to travel without vaccination proof integrated with NADRA. 

Earlier, the Travel Agents Association of Pakistan (TAAP) wrote a letter to the federal government, expressing reservations over the Ministry of Health’s decision regarding the NADRA vaccination card.  TAAP sought clarification from the Ministry of Health over the requirement and raised concerns about a letter issued by the Karachi Airport Health Officer.  The association said the order issued by the Karachi Airport Health Officer is unclear and has created misunderstandings regarding the implementation of the NADRA vaccination card requirement.
