At least seven people were killed, and over 30 were injured in a blast in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Kohat on Friday, according to media reports. The explosion occurred near Old Police Lines, Rescue 1122 spokesperson Bilal Ahmed Faizi said in a statement.“More than 20 injured individuals have been transported to nearby hospitals,” he said, adding that “several of the injured sustained critical injuries”.
At present, 14 rescue ambulances and over 35 personnel are engaged in relief operations, he said.In an earlier statement, Faizi said that upon receiving the information, Rescue 1122 Kohat relief teams immediately arrived at the scene and commenced relief and rescue operations. “Teams are actively engaged in relief operations at the site, and further details will be released as more information becomes available,” he said.
