Death toll has risen to six in flood victims’ boat capsizing incident during rescue operation in Noorwala area of Taranda Muhammad Panah near Bahawalpur.According to police, the bodies of three children and a man from the missing people were retrieved. Two women, three young children and a man died in the accident.

The boat capsized the previous day and more than 20 people were on board the boat, police said. The deceased include Shahida Bibi, Ganman Mai, 11-year-old Hussain Waheed, 8-year-old Tahira, 7-year-old Aqsa and an unknown person. The victims requested a helicopter from the Chief Minister of Punjab for immediate help.
