DG-ICT escapes from country instead to face court’s contempt precedingBreaking

The top officer of the district administration, Islamabad Capital Territory Director General (DG-ICT) Saeed Ramzan has allegedly escaped from Pakistan instead to face court’s contempt preceding. As Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday initiated contempt of court proceedings against him for misleading the court regarding a “fake raid on a spa” situated in Bahria Town. IHC Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri issued a show cause notice to Mr Ramzan and summoned him in person on June 20, however he escaped from the country. According to detail, the copy of inquiry report of Chief Election Commissioner Islamabad regarding massage center raid case has already forwarded to establishment division and interior ministry, which added to Saeed's difficulties.

It learnt that despite being transferred from Islamabad to Punjab, he (Saeed) did not left his office. It further revealed that Chief Commissioner Islamabad Captain retd Noor-ul-Ameen Mengal has conducted an inquiry against the raid in center after this he given a statement in Islamabad High Court that raid was unlawful. According to the details, Islamabad High Court has issued contempt of court notice to (DG-ICT) Saeed Ramzan on submitting misleading reports regarding the raid on massage center by the driver of the magistrate, police constables and fake journalists. It was worth mentioned here that The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday initiated contempt of court proceedings against a top officer of the district administration, Islamabad Capital Territory Director General Saeed Ramzan for misleading the court regarding a “fake raid on a spa” situated in Bahria Town.

The petitioner Shah Faisal claimed that unauthorized persons raided his premises, broke CCTV cameras and took Rs57,000 from the cash counter. As per the CCTV footage, some persons without uniforms forcibly entered the premises, holding wireless in their hands, knocking at the doors of the rooms of the spa and asking male and female persons to come outside before beating them up and stealing the money from the cash counter and damaging/breaking the CCTV cameras. The DIG operations in an inquiry report stated that Kamran, an alleged fake media reporter, Shahzad, a driver of Special Magistrate Amjad Hussain Jaffari, constable Tariq, an operator of the assistant commissioner rural, and some other police officials were involved in the incident.
