Different parts of Punjab, Sindh receive rain Breaking

Different parts of Punjab, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) received rain during the last 24 hours, turning the weather pleasant. Rain was reported from the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, Lahore, Faisalabad, while it rained cats and dogs in Abbottabad, Nathiagali, Ayubia, Kohat, Swabi and Karak, flooding streams and turning the low-lying areas into pools of water.  

Meanwhile, the Met Office forecast thundershowers accompanied by strong winds for Rawalpindi, Islamabad, and different areas of KP, including Waziristan, Bannu, Tank, Dera Ismael Khan, Peshawar and Swat during the next 24 hours.  Similarly, it predicted rain and strong winds for different parts of Punjab, including Lahore, Multan and Faisalabad.  The weather department said rain was also expected in Karachi, Thatta, Dadu, Mirpurkhas and Sukkur in Sindh.

However, it said that strong winds and rain were expected at a few places, including Zhob, Loralai, Khuzdar and Awaran either in the evening or at night.  The Met Office said that thundershowers and gales were also expected in Azad Jammu and Kashmir during the aforementioned period.  Good news for the people of Karachi as rain has also been predicted for the city today in the evening.

The weather department said that the city would receive rain during the next two days as well. The weather will remain hot and humid during the day.     The level of moisture in the air was recorded at 39 per cent while winds were blowing at the speed of 11 kilometers per hour.
