Drones, camcopters banned in Islamabad for 2 months Breaking

The district administration on Tuesday imposed a two-month ban on flying drones and camcopters in the federal capital under Section 144.According to the notification, the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) has been prohibited due to potential security threats.

The ban does not apply to law enforcement agencies and the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration. District Magistrate said drones could pose risks to sensitive installations and public safety. The measure was taken as an immediate step to maintain law and order, and violations will be dealt with according to the law.
