Drug paddlers get 23 years imprisonmentBreaking

Local courts on Friday sentenced two notorious drug dealers to a combined 23 years in prison and fines totaling Rs 1.08 million. According to details, Naveed Anwar was arrested by Naseerabad police station in March 2025 with 3.1 kg of ice, received 14 years imprisonment, and a Rs 1.0 million fine. Another court sentenced Asad for 09 years in jail and Rs. 80,000.0 penalty. Asad was nabbed by Sadiq Abad police in September 2024 by recovering 1.41 kg of hashish from his possession.

The convictions were based on solid evidence and diligent follow-up by investigators. City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Hamdani praised the SSP Investigation and legal teams for their outstanding work. "We are taking all possible steps to eradicate the menace of drugs from society," the CPO added.
