Police held a drug peddler and recovered 1.2 kg hashish from his possession during a crackdown against narcotics.The accused, identified as Shah Jahan,was taken into custody and sent to lock-up. Meanwhile, DSP Circle Abdul Karim Khan informed the media that police,under the slogan of Drug Free Punjab, had arrested 15 proclaimed offenders during the month of September.

He added that six rifles and five pistols were seized in cases of illegal weapons, while 13 cases of drugs were also registered. He said the district police remained active in their efforts to eliminate crime and ensure the protection of lives and property in the region.
