Dubai Police’s Naif Police Station launched a swift operation after receiving a theft report, arresting three suspects within just four minutes. The Dubai Police e-scooter patrol unit not only apprehended the three suspects but also recovered the entire stolen amount of AED 190,000. According to Dubai Police on X, the e-scooter patrol unit of Naif Police Station arrested three suspects who had stolen AED 190,000. Police recovered the full stolen amount within four minutes of receiving the report.
The rapid operation began after the Command and Control Centre of Dubai Police’s Operations Department received a theft report within the jurisdiction of Naif Police Station. Upon receiving the report, descriptions and other details of the suspects were immediately shared with police patrol teams in the area. The e-scooter patrol unit reached the vicinity of the scene within just two minutes and quickly spread throughout the area. Within another two minutes, all three suspects were arrested. The full amount of AED 190,000 stolen from the suspects was also recovered.
Naif Police Station Director Brigadier Maher Omar Musa Ashour said the swift arrests and recovery of the stolen money demonstrated the preparedness of Dubai Police field teams and the effectiveness of its response system. He said Naif Police Station pays special attention to monitoring the performance and deployment of patrol teams so that reports can be acted upon quickly and an effective security presence can be maintained in busy areas and crowded markets. According to Brigadier Ashour, the e-scooter patrol initiative is an effective means of responding quickly in areas with heavy pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
