A recent study has revealed that individuals who use e-cigarettes, commonly known as vapes, show signs of physical weakness compared to non-users. The study, conducted through cycling exercise tests, involved 20 participants who had been vaping for at least two years. The results showed that their exercise capacity was significantly lower than those who had never vaped. Furthermore, health-related issues among vapers were comparable to individuals who had smoked traditional cigarettes for the same duration – two years. Lead author Dr. Uzma Faisal from Manchester Metropolitan University noted that young adult vapers reported difficulties in breathing, experienced more muscle fatigue, and displayed lower overall fitness during the tests.
