An earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale rattled Swat and its surroundings, a Met Office report said on Wednesday. According to reports, tremors were felt in Mingora and surrounding areas, prompting residents to rush out of their homes and workplaces in fear. The epicenter of the earthquake was located in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan, with a depth of 51 kilometers beneath the earth’s surface. There have been no immediate reports of casualties or damage to property till filing of this report.
