The Power Division has reported major progress in restoring electricity in flood-affected areas, with most grids and feeders brought back online while teams continue round-the-clock efforts to reconnect remaining areas.According to the latest update from the Power Division, electricity has been restored to 39 grids and 356 feeders in the flood-hit regions. Out of these, 152 feeders have been fully completed while 202 feeders have been restored temporarily to ensure supply until conditions improve.
The report highlights that 17 grids and 53 feeders of Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) have been restored on a temporary basis. In areas under Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO), 67 feeders remain affected. Officials confirmed that restoration work in these zones will begin immediately once floodwaters recede.In North Waziristan, two feeders have been temporarily restored, with full recovery expected by September 5.
The Power Division stated that field teams are working day and night to reconnect affected households.Officials emphasized that DISCO teams are deployed continuously across affected regions, ensuring that electricity supply is restored as quickly as possible. The Ministry assured citizens that full restoration in all flood-hit areas remains a top priority.
