Fertilizer prices in Pakistan have reached record levels, with significant hikes recorded in the past week, according to official documents. The price of a DAP (Diammonium Phosphate) fertilizer bag increased by Rs36 within a week, pushing the average price to Rs12,937 per bag. Quetta reported the highest DAP price at Rs13,400 per bag, followed by Faisalabad at Rs13,150. Over the past year, DAP prices have surged by Rs1,578 per bag.
Potassium Sulfate fertilizer also saw a sharp increase, with prices rising by Rs95 per bag in a week. The average price now stands at Rs12,145, while Faisalabad recorded the highest price at Rs13,800 per bag. Nitro Phosphate fertilizer rose by Rs12 per bag in the same period, reaching Rs8,075 per bag. Similarly, NPK (Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium) fertilizer prices climbed by Rs6 per bag, bringing the average to Rs8,990, according to the documents.
