A fire broke out in a commercial plaza located in Chak Shahzad in Islamabad on Friday.According to rescue sources, the fire broke out in New Mahal Plaza due to a short-circuit. A thick plume of smoke could be seen from a distance.  Rescue sources said there were garbage containers in the plaza in which the fire started which later raised the alarm. Rescue teams were present at the spot and the fire was brought under control.  However, there was no loss of life due to the fire.
