A large fire erupted in a paper factory, destroying millions of rupees worth of cardboard and waste cloth stored inside on Friday. The fire engulfed the entire factory. The paper mill is located near the Manooabad area of Muridke.Rescue sources said that the fire broke out due to a short circuit. Soon after the incident, three firefighters rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control.The cooling process was still under way.
In another incident in Kot Mithan, several shops were gutted after a massive fire broke out following a cylinder blast in Faridi Bazaar.Soon after receiving the report, Assistant Commissioner Rana Mohammad Ahmad along with rescue teams, reached the area. Efforts are underway to bring the fire under control. No loss of life was reported from the site of the incident.
