After directives from Deputy Inspector-General of Police (DIG) Sukkur, a first information report (FIR) was registered against five policemen for staging a fake police operation in which a student was badly injured, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday. According to details, DIG Police Sukkur Faisal Abdullah Chachar has directed for investigating a police encounter in Khairpur. 

After the conclusion of the inquiry it was revealed that five policemen – ASI Abdul Rehman Shaikh, ASI Shehzaib Shaikh, Sepoy Javed Ali, Roshan Ali, and Driver Rajal Khan – staged a fake police encounter in which they shot an innocent student of Shah Latif University, Khairpur Nasrullah Magi. According to the FIR, all the policemen allegedly staged this fake encounter after consultation.

Police recovered the bullet-ridden body of a 20-year-old pregnant woman from Gachal village in Khairpur Nathan Shah. The heirs of the dead woman said that the woman committed suicide due to a domestic dispute. Soon after receiving the report, local police rushed to the spot and shifted the dead body of the woman to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital (THQ) in Khairpur Nathan Shah and started an investigation.
